As a boutique graphic design and marketing communications firm, we are a one-stop-shop for your designing needs. We design and manage innovative visual communication solutions for local, small and mid-sized businesses in addition to global companies. Our focus is primarily on identity programs, capabilities brochures, websites and other printed collateral materials for small to mid-sized companies.
My Philosophy and Approach
My philosophy is simple: You focus on what you do—whether it’s selling pizza, running cybersecurity or conducting IT recruiting—and let me focus on your marketing (think: you’re “outsourcing” me); how to present your brand or website; and help people connect with you through your website and social media. It is important for me to take ownership of every project I undertake for others so that you get the best quality work as if it were my own.
What’s more, I take an intuitive approach to design, which begins with taking time to deeply listen to my clients’ wants and needs, then translating that into a vision that speaks authentically to you and your business. My goal is to provide professional, efficient service that is friendly, personable and approachable.

About Vicki
What is my typical process for working with a new client?
We begin the process with a complimentary exploratory kick-off meeting to discuss needs, goals and what I can offer. I then provide a formal proposal or estimate depending on the project. We then get to work on creating your design vision!
What credentials do I have for my specialty/specialties?
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Shepherd College (University). I began my career in marketing at Prudential Real Estate. I have worked for several advertising and design agencies in Baltimore and Annapolis, MD, as well as for corporate and internet startups. My positions have ranged from brand manager at large companies, to advertising director assistant working in a design capacity on agency side. I then launched VLS Studios working closely with sole proprietorships and a few local businesses.
What types of patients have I worked with?
I enjoy working with clients that need marketing or brand management. To date, VLS Studios has developed effective communication solutions for companies ranging from global companies and big corporations, to mid-sized companies, to sole proprietorships, to national and local businesses including restaurants, embroidery shops and jewelry stores.
