Hello there! I am an acupuncturist located at Dupont Circle in Washington D.C. I am a general practitioner who has been practicing for 14 years, with an emphasis in pain, digestive and fertility support.
People are often surprised to hear and witness how acupuncture may benefit them. When working with the whole body and mind, possibilities in health become abundant. My scope of practice includes: acupuncture, cupping, gua sha and herbal medicine.
Does acupuncture hurt?
The sensations felt during acupuncture treatment vary according to each individual. Generally, clients describe the sensations as fleeting and the treatment experience as deeply relaxing. Some report no sensation, while others feel a mild ache or heaviness in the area being needled. Some points are more sensitive than others.
Are the needles safe?
Yes, Sterile Disposable needles are used. They are used only one time and then disposed of after use.
How is an acupuncturist trained?
Most acupuncture schools require undergraduate training in a four-year college. I attended nursing school for four years, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree. After nursing school, I attended the Tai Sophia Institute (now the Maryland University of Integrative Health), where I earned my Master of Acupuncture degree after four years of extensive training.

When you are ready to start, contact me via phone, text or email. We will set up our initial appointment. During this appointment, we will discuss your concerns, health history and lifestyle.
What credentials do I have for my specialty/specialties?
I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Acupuncture. During my Master’s program, I received clinical training in which I was required to practice on a set amount of people a certain amount of times for graduation. Since then, I have been actively practicing acupuncture for over 12 years.
What types of patients have I worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of clients: ages 4-88, men, women, people wanting stress relief and others desiring a different avenue to achieve health goals.
