Throughout my years of practicing medicine, my mantra has been to treat patients as though they were part of my family and anything I do for them, I would do for my beloveds.

As a medical practitioner, I focus on restoring, maintaining and optimizing health for women over 40 by including health and wellness coaching into my practice to support with weight loss, control of chronic inflammation, improving immunity and increasing energy for my patients. Through both my personal and professional experiences, I believe health maintenance and restoration is optimized by enhancing the biological terrain of our bodies, and that this is accomplished by improving our mental, physical, emotional and spiritual resilience. To this end, I completed my life coaching certification in July 2020 and am also a yoga teacher in training.
My coaching is conducted mostly through group coaching facilitated through online courses. The first of these is an 8-week course which launched in August 2020 and is called “Ignition – 5 Keys to Ignite Your Metabolism for Healthy and Sustainable Weight Loss.”
I received my Doctor of Medicine degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences after earning a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Master of Science in Genetics and Human Genetics at Howard University. After my internship and residency in internal medicine, I completed subspecialty training in hematology and oncology at the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute in Bethesda, MD, after which I spent some time understanding the oncology drug approval process at the Food and Drug Administration. Throughout my years of practicing medicine, my mantra has been to treat patients as though they were part of my family and anything I do for them, I would do for my beloveds.
What is my typical process for working with a new client?
As indicated above, this is typically group coaching, through the online course platform. If someone would like one-on-one coaching, this discussion will be separate depending on the needs of the student.
What credentials do I have for my specialty/specialties?
I am a physician, certified health and wellness coach and soon-to-be certified life coach.
What types of clients have I worked with?
My clients are primarily (though not exclusively) women in their late 20’s to 30’s who are looking for a different way of being in the world. They’re introspective and insightful and are ready to look inward to discover the inner peace and confidence that, as cliché as it sounds, has been there all along. They also tend to be interested in improving their relationships in some way whether that’s at work, at home, or even within themselves.
“Dr. Jacinta was able to lovingly address the issues at hand, give suggestions regarding natural supplements and foods to avoid. Her service and attention for my well-being were so genuine and full of care. Thank you, Dr. Jacinta.” - Narda M.
“I always recommend Dr. Jacinta to my family and friends when they say they are looking for a good doctor. I tell them, "I have a GREAT doctor (and coach) for you!" - Katherine G.
